Description:

Common shrub to 3 m tall; petals greenish white, anthers white, in a ring; fruit green, turning red, to purple, and eventually blue, globose; inflorescence elongate; veins of leaves impressed. Phenology of specimen: Fertile.
Habitat:

Moist montane forest.
