Location:

Puerto Rico. Cordillera Central; Bosque Toro Negro; near headwaters of the Rio Inaban, where crossing Rt. 143 at km 18.7, following stream southward; near Monte Jayuya. This plant near roadside, thus outside of ravine, on slope of Monte Jayuya. Alt. 1180 - 1200 m. (3871 - 3937 ft.)

Description:

Shrub 2.5 m; fruit purple to blue; flowers white (pink rose on back side of petals); leaves with very impressed veins. Phenology of specimen: Fertile.
Habitat:

Moist montane forest. Dominated by Prestoea montana in ravine.
