Annotation on specimen sheet: "Note at Greene Herbarium: This sheet is marked "Type" by E. L. Greene. Leaves obscurely serrulate, many subentire or entire; pedicels and calyces feebly glandular-puberulent; corolla glandular-puberulent externally, bearded at orifice; staminode long-bearded at apex and less densley so below apex.".
