Description:

Bejuco leñoso trepador que puede alcanzar 30 pies de longitud. Posee hojas coriáceas compuestas, zarcillos para enredarse, flores acampanadas rosadas o violeta rosado en racimos y semillas aladas en frutos aplastados. Por sus flores atractivas puede ser utilizada como ornamental. Se puede observar a orillas de carreteras, pastizales y terrenos bajos de Puerto Rico. Está distribuido en parte del territorio antillano y América Tropical. Ligneous climbing reed that can grow to thirty feet of length. It has leathery compound leaves, tendrils to entangle on plants, pink or violet bell shaped flowers in racemes, and winged seeds in a flat fruit. For its attractive flowers, it can be used like an ornamental. It is grows spontaneous along borders of highways, thickets, and lowlands of Puerto Rico. It can also be found in parts of the Antillean territory and Tropical America.
