Discussion:

Virola Glaziovii var. latifolia Malme, Ark. Bot. 26A (9): 29. 1934.

Type, G. A. 0. Malme 2033b, collected Aug. 6, 1902, at Santa Anna da Chapada, Matto Grosso, Brazil, and deposited in the Naturhistoriska Riksmuseet, Stockholm.

Since this plant appears to me very distinct from V. Glaziovii, I take the opportunity of naming it in honor of the late Professor Malme rather than retain his somewhat misleading varietal name.
