Description:

Sedge. Culms flattened. Phenology of specimen: Fertile.

Habitat:

In moist, reddish-brown, medium sand. In bed of the brook, "Riacho da Simiana", flowing through shaded gallery forest with babaçu palms. At point where "Morros"-Santa Bárbara trail crosses this brook. [See label for further habitat description.].
