Description:

Tree, 2 m high. Bark strips off easily. Pedicel pink, wrinkled. Flowers white, tinged with pink. Bark strips used as headstrap to carry baskets (mutete). Phenology of specimen: Flower.
Habitat:

Open primary forest on laterite ridge.
