Description:

Petals bright red; petals forming clumps 2.5 dm high x 3 dm broad. Phenology of specimen: Fertile, Flower, Fruit.

Rhyolitic rock outcrop, open. With Quercus coccolobifolia, Q. viminea, Arctostaphylos pungens, pines.
