Location:

Brazil. São Paulo. Mogi Guaçú Mun. Campos das Sete Lagôas. Fazenda Campininha, just north of Rio Moji-Guaçu. 3.5 km NNW of Padua Sales. (About 27 km NW of city of Moji-Mirim). About 100 m. north of main house. Alt. 600 m. (1968 ft.)

Description:

Shrub about 1 m. tall, branches erect, numerous. Flowers light yellow. Phenology of specimen: Flower.
Habitat:

Campo cerrado on upland (or occasionally forest). Open marsh or dense secondary forest along streams. This habitat: degraded campo cerrado. Well-scattered shrubs & small trees twisted by former fires, giving a savanna-like aspect. Ground cover of grasses & herbs. Soil poor, reddish-brown fine sand with a little clay.
