Location:

French Guiana. Near Tropenbos Ecological Reserve, ca. 20km S of Mabura Hill. Alt. 100m. (328 ft.)

Description:

Seedlings, to 15cm high. Plants light green. Stem flattened, 4-6mm wide, 1-2(-3) mm thick, triangular in cross-section, usually constricted at 2.5-4 cm below the leaves, narrower and slightly winged above that point. Leaves spreading. Veins sunken above, prominent below.

Habitat:

Below parent tree. In Mora elxcelsa forest with Pterocarpus officinalis, Macrolobium sp.
