Bolivia. Santa Cruz. Florida Prov. Zone of massive red sandstone mountains along highway from Santa Cruz to Samaipata, 7 km (by winding road) SW of bridge over Río Laja [upstream extension of Río Bermejo], 7.7 km (by winding road) SW of bridge over Río Las Cruces (Río Vicoquín). Alt. 980 m. (3215 ft.)

Description:

Small trees, to 8 m tall, 20 cm in diameter. Some trees sterile, some with flowers, some with blue-black fruit.
Habitat:

With remnant woodlands and grassy savanna-like pastures. With Miconia molybdea, Dodonea viscosa, Baccharis spp. Common.
