root-climbing epiphyte. Root-climbing epiphyte 3 m in understory trees, spathe green, enclosing developing fruits. Phenology of specimen: Fruit.

Habitat:

Primary terra firme forest relatively level terrain shallowly dissected by many streams, soils apparently poorly drained.
