Description:

Caespitose palm 2.8 m total; stipes 3, 2.35 m x 1.3-1.6 cm; leaves 6, pinnate, 2-3 pinnae per side, sheath 24 cm long, petiole 12 cm long, rachis 52 cm long; inflorescences 2, intrafoliar, peduncle 4-6 cm long, rachis 6-10 cm long, 26 rachillae, each up to 17 cm long, rachis and rachillae orange.

Habitat:

Open primary forest near levee. Guadua bamboo present.
