Description:

Tree, 18 m tall, dbh 25 cm. Outer bark scaly on lower 2 m, above smooth and lenticellate. Plank buttresses. Flowers yellowish-green with faint red stripes on petals. Rare. Phenology of specimen: Flower.

Habitat:

Moist terra firme forest on Tertiary sediments. Terrain hilly, dissected by deep, narrow stream beds.
