Description:

Low-branching, leaning tree 12 m x 15 cm, very shallowly reticulate-fissured, rough due to dense small raised lenticels, thin inner bark finely red-and-white striate. Resin clear but turning milky. Fruits maturing red, valves pale red within. Phenology of specimen: Fruit.
Habitat:

Terra firme forest on hilly terrain dissected by many streams, soil clayey.
