Description:

Tree leaning out over river, 12 m high, trunk 50 cm in diameter; bark grey; berries edible, yellow with numerous red spots giving it a beautiful contrast to the glossy leaves. N.V. Bibosi.
Habitat:

Semi-deciduous, tropical amazonian forest at its southern limit. Located on the precambrian Brazilian shield.
