Description:

A ± independent tree 8 m. tall, the main trunk 30 cm. in diameter, the branches long and almost scandent, with some aerial roots and branches sending down anastomosing roots when supported in other trees; sap milky. Probably originally a strangler. Figs green.
Habitat:

The curiche, a low open clearing with scattered gnarled trees and standing water after rains, somewhat swampy, with Oryza latifolia, Ipomoea carnea ssp. fistulosa.
