Description:

liana. Liana 5 m in trees, fruiting only 10-120 cm from ground, fruits red, aril white. Phenology of specimen: Fruit.
Habitat:

Primary forest in low-lying area ("baixio") shallowly dissected by many small streams. Soils sandy in many places, but drainage poor in many spots.
