Ecuador. Zamora Chinchipe. Nangaritza (Canton). Cordillera del Cóndor region. West side of upper Río Nangaritza, along road about 13 km south of Guayzimi. Alt. 970m. (3182 ft.)

Description:

Tree 15 m tall, 25 cm DBH. Leaflets stiff, brittle and coriaceous, the two rows of leaflets forming an acute angkle with respect to the rachis. Immature fruits subglobose, slightly elliptic, pale green, glossy. Phenology of specimen: Immature fruit.

Habitat:

Dense wet forest. Common. on sloping Hollín sandstone plateau.
