Description:
Tree. Tree 35m x 70cm, low broad plank buttresses to 1m, outer bark dark brown, fissured, thick, shed in thick elongated plates, inner bark deep brown, sapwood white. Fruits reddish-brown, depressed-globose, 3cm diam. On island in baixo surrounded by small streams. Use: wood highly prized, similar to mahogany. Photo. Phenology of specimen: Fruit.
