Description:

Solitary, to 9 m. high. 7.5-8 cm. in diam. Leaves about 10, spreading in an open graceful crown; sheath 50 cm. long, not fibrous; petiole 70 cm. long; rachis 2.85 m. long; pinnae about 93 per side, green on both sides, in groups of 2-4 except at base and apex. Inflorescence among leaves, erect in bud, the flowers cream-colored; mature fruits orange. Phenology of specimen: Sterile.
