Description:

Solitary palm, trunk 10 m tall, 10 cm in diam., internodes 22 cm long, trunk injured and poorly developed in the upper part; 6 contemporaneous leaves, sheath 32 cm long, petiole 34 cm long, rachis ca. 1.6 m long, with 84 pairs of pinnae in groups of (1-)2-3(-4) and inserted at various angles, not deflexed in the upper part. Spadices between green leaves, lower bract 35 cm long, upper bract ca. 80 cm long, one old spadix and one young spadix present. Phenology of specimen: Flower.
