Description:

Tree 5 m. high; 20 cm. base; bark pale brown with raised dots; open growth. Foliage stiffened; glabrous, bright green, moderately shining, deep venation producing rugose effect. Inflorescence: Solanaceous fam. flowers color phlox-pink, separated reflexed petals fleshy; flowers expanding to 12 mm., buds brownish-pink, Cambium layer light green. Phenology of specimen: Fertile.
Habitat:

Caribbean watershed. Cloud forest, open shade. Soil: mold.
