Description:

Delicate plants in rather loose, open clumps, growing in deep shade under tall plants. Mostly all plants with inflorescences in separate, basal shoots. Roots very thin and long. Phenology of specimen: Fertile.
Habitat:

Very abundant throughout the forest, (low trees type of forest). This was the first forest vegetation immediately after the campos and restinga. Many ferns, Marantaceae and Araceae growing there. White sandy soil.
