Description:

Plants with tightly packed wiry culms forming very graceful clumps abundant here. Inflorescences borne on bladeless culms that spread out horizontally into the leaflitter. Phenology of specimen: Fertile.
Habitat:

A semi-shaded woodland of tall trees with Marantaceae and dominated by the Catolé palm (Attalea compta).
