Location:

Ecuador. Zamora Chinchipe. Nangaritza (Canton). Parroquia: Zurmi. Comunidad Centro Shaime (along Río Nangaritza). Forest 2-4 km NW of Centro Shaime. Forest on limestone outcrop (i.e., presence of sinkholes, rocks, and caves). Alt. 1000m. (3281 ft.)

Description:

Woody vine. Leaves usually growing 5-8 m above ground. Abaxial leaf surface green. Inflorescence proximal to leaves (ca. 1 m above ground). Inflorescence an indeterminate pendent spike. Each clusters of flowers filled with slime. Calyx white to light gree.
Habitat:

Evergreen wet forest.
