Ecuador. Zamora Chinchipe. Nangaritza (Canton). Parroquia: Zurimi. Cabañas Yankuam. Sendero Vino Tinto, trail (2 km long) on opposite side of road from Cabañas Yankuam. Alt. 1000 - 800 m. (3281 - 2625 ft.)

Description:

Epiphyte with elongate scandent stems. Leaves growing 10+ m above ground and infloresescence usually 1-2 m above ground. Bracts bright red and covered with slime. Corolla red with white striations in throat and on inner surface of lobes.

Habitat:

Premontane wet forest.
