SUDENE, Recife, PE, Brasil. 1977) located the town of Travessao, and using Google Maps - Satellite View, located the town of Camamú and the road linking to it from Travessao, BA 652. Beginning at the point along BA 652 closest to the approximate geographic center of the town of Travessao (-14.14906 -39.3312263), used Distance Measurement Tool (Google Maps) to measure approximately 25 km (25.0005 km) along BA 652 towards Camamú. Using Canadensys Lat/Long Crosshairs, found coordinates (final) for the offset. Note: There is some discrepancy between the present route of BA 652 (shown on Google Maps) and the past route of BA 652 (shown on the paper map "Ubaitaba"), however route differences only appear further than 25 km NW along BA 652 from Travessao. Using Distance Measurement Tool again, found the linear extent of the starting location of the offset, the town of Travessao, by measuring from the selected starting coordinates along BA 652 to the farthest extent of the town (-14.1470522 -39.3269241). Input coordinates, linear extent (0.511301 km), distance precision (1 km), and measurement error (0.0005 km) into the MaNIS Georeferencing Calculator to find the uncertainty radius (according to the Georeferencing Quick Reference Guide, Offset: offset along a path).)
