Brazil. Pará. Santarém Mun. Morro de Ponta Negra (Serra do Saubal), along road to overlook of city departing from the Avenida Marau at its terminus with the Rua Mutuní, at the S outskirts of the city, about 6.5 km S of central Santarém.

Description:

Shrub, ca. 2 m tall, leaves shiny dark green above, lighter beneath, inflorescence axes brownish-green, distal axes and fruits red, the fruit apex and sepals green; SILICA COLLECTION.

Habitat:

Disturbed secondary forest along ridgetop roadside, terra firme.
