Description:

Common tree growing in low forest at edge of open rocky area, ca. 2 m tall, flowers somewhat past, inflorescences borne on branches below leaves, these and flower buds ferruginous, calyx light green internally, petal yellow with purple venation, larger stamen filaments purplish, smaller stamen filaments purplish in lower half, white above, anthers white, gynoecium with stipe silvery, ovary golden yellow, style purplish, green at apex, stigma green, young fruits silvery green, plant infested with large black ants; SILICA COLLECTION.
Habitat:

Rocky savanna with tree islands and areas of low forest, terra firme.
