Description:

70' tree 8" diam. with low buttresses, contains a sweet-scented resinous gum - lvs. pinnate, 3-4 paired, rugose, stiffly chartaceous - fr. in short axill. spikes, usually bilobed, crimson and shiny when ripe - seed greenish, hard, triangular, covered with the sweetish, white, dry resinous pulp.

Habitat:

Mixed forest. Lateritic soil.
