Description:

Dioecious. Procumbent herb. Stem c. 0.5m long. Pistillate flowers: ovary and stigma green, petals white or purplish white, calyx pink. Staminate flowers: calyx pink, corolla white, sometimes with pinkish lobes, anthers yellow. Corolla tube filled with sweet nectar. Cultivated on the Botanical Garden of Munich, bloomed one year after sowing. Seeds provided by José Lomeli from the University of Guadalajara,originally collected from a fruting plant on 12 Oct 2010. Phenology of specimen: Fertile, Flower.
