Georeferencing Method: Georeferencing Quick Reference Guide, Version 2012 (Georeferenced to the approximate geographic midpoint of the shore of Ilha de Maracá along Rio Uraricoera in Roraima, Brazil. Using Google Maps - Satellite View, located Rio Uraricoera along the southern portion of Ilha de Maracá. Used the Distance Measurement Tool (Google Maps) to measure a straight line between the beginning and end the segment of river which runs along the southern portion of the island, then halved this distance to approximate the location of the midpoint of the line. Chose a point along the southern shore of the island nearest to the midpoint of the line; used Canadensys Lat/Long Crosshairs to find the coordinates (collection assumed to be terrestrial). Used the Distance Measurement Tool (Google Maps) to find the linear extent by measuring from the selected coordinates to the farthest extent of the river segment along the island. Input coordinates, linear extent (31454.5 m), and measurement error (0.5 m) into the MaNIS Referencing calculator to find the uncertainty radius.)
