Description:

Tree ca. 5 m tall, branched toward the upper part, losing apical dominance. Leaves subcoriaceous, discolor. Flower buds pale green, with rust-brown pubescence.

Habitat:

Secondary forest with patches of bamboo vegetation (Guadua weberbaueri).
