Description:

treelet. Understory treelet to 6 m, inflorescences erect, buds turning white. Phenology of specimen: Fertile.

Habitat:

Open forest with bamboo; terrain gently undulating occasionally dissected by streams. Guadua sarcocarpa beginning to dominate again 18 years after die-back. Common. Sandy clay soil.
