Description:

Flowers coral-red, white and light brown inside. Pendant bells to 1½" long. Red-purple stems. Stiff, bushy habit to 4 ft. tall. Often 20 spikes on one plant. Basal habit, somewhat woody. Phenology of specimen: Fertile, Flower, Fruit.
Habitat:

Steep dry non-lime volcanic slopes. Among coarse grasses, shrubs.
