Description:
Arbustilo de 3-4 m. cuyas hojas tienen en la base unas bolsa donde viven hormigas negras y chicas, en simbiosis eon la planta a la cual defienden. El rachis floral es rojo. La entrada de las bolsas esta situada en el envés y base de la hojas.
