Description:

Tree 7m. Petioules doubly pulvinate the pulvini brown; all parts with a strong turpentine smell; fruit capsules bright red at maturity, when open a single seed covered with a white sweet aril displayed, sometimes hanging from the capsule.

Habitat:

Locally frequent.
