Description:

Large tree. Fruits red when ripe, splits open, shedding 2-3 large shiny black seeds completely covered with thick fluffy white sweet edible aril (tastes like vanilla ice cream).

Habitat:

Virgin terra firme forest. Region of continuous evergreen broadleaf tall forest.
