Description:

Terrestrial herb, to 1 m. tall. Undersurface of leavesd usually green, sometimes with red tinge. Calyx green. Corolla red and tubular. Photographs of this collection are in the Gesneriaceae photo file (US). Phenology of specimen: Fertile.

Habitat:

Premontane/montane Wet Forest. Locally abundant on ride to "La Punta," otherwise not common.
