Using Google Maps - Satellite View, located the Tucuruí Dam along Rio Tocantins. Used Distance Measurement Tool (Google Maps) to measure a straight line starting at the beginning of the Dam, in Tucuruí, to the end of the Dam, in Breu Branco, then halved this distance to approximate the location of the geographic center of the Dam. Used Canadensys Lat/Long Crosshairs to find the coordinates of the geographic center of the Dam. Used Distance Measurement Tool (Google Maps) again to find linear extent by measuring from the selected coordinates to the farthest extent of the Dam. Used linear extent as the uncertainly radius. Site is located in the Brazilian state of Pará, not Amazonas.)
