Description:

Tree 17 m x 16.5 cm diam,, trunk cylindrical but slightly tortuous; outer bark gray, with long, wavy, deep but narrow fissures, shed in elongate, irregularly shaped plates to 15 cm long. On steep slope. Phenology of specimen: Sterile.
Habitat:

Dense mixed-dipterocarp forest along ridges in steep terrain. sandy soils.
