Description:

Short-rhizomatous grasses, forming small clumps with erect culms, usually at the base of trees or under shrubs. Phenology of specimen: Sterile.

Habitat:

Forest of tall trees, semi-open, with thick layer of leafmold and good mixture of herbaceous plants such as sedges, Bambusoides, Marantaceae.
