Description:

Shrub 1-1½ m. tall. Sepals dark reddish-purple. Petals violet pink, standard with a light yellow spot at center base of front surface; almost all trees in leaf at present date (near end of dry season). Phenology of specimen: Flower.
Habitat:

"chapada" vegetation (xeromorphic woodland or "cerradão") on flat plateau top.
