Description:

Shrub to 2.5 m. Leaves coriaceous, mid-green above, paler beneath. Young fruit pale green. Phenology of specimen: Flower.
Habitat:

Western face of sandstone serra with horizontally bedded rocks. Extensive grassland & marsh on lower slopes and small streams with low woodland. Rock outcrops at high altitudes, with humid forest in rocky declivity below summit. This plant growing at forest margin.
