Description:

Herbage somewhat glaucous. Stems 1-several. Flowers lavender-purple (not blue) in life, turning dark blue-violet in the press. Phenology of specimen: Fertile, Flower.

With pinyon and juniper. Rocky, gravelly, calcareous soil.
