Location:

Ecuador. Esmeraldas. Quinindé (Canton). The Mache-Chindul Ecological Reserve. Bilsa Biological Station. Mache Mountains, 35 km W of Quinindé, 5 km W of Santa Isabel. Collections made on Rompe Frente and Aguacatal trails from station to Dos Bocas. Alt. 400 - 600 m. (1312 - 1968 ft.)

Description:

Tree, 10 m tall. Growing along stream. Fruit an elliptic, 3 valved woody capsule with white arillate seeds. Phenology of specimen: Fruit.
