Georeferencing Method: Georeferencing Quick Reference Guide, Version 2012 (Georeferenced to the approximate geographic center of Toekoemoetoe Creek, a tributary of Saramacca River, in Sipaliwini, Suriname. Used Google Maps - Earth View to find Toekoemoetoe Creek. Used the Google Maps - Measure Distance Tool to measure a straight line between the approximate geographic center of the mouth of the creek (confluence of Toekoemoetoe Creek and Saramacca River) and the headwaters of the creek (approximated through the dense forest cover), then halved this distance to find the midpoint of the line. Chose a point along Toekoemoetoe Creek nearest to the midpoint of the line; used the Google Maps - What's Here Tool to find the coordinates of the approximate midpoint of the creek, on the adjacent shore (collection assumed to be terrestrial). Used the Google Maps - Measure Distance Tool again to find the linear extent by measuring from the selected coordinates to the farthest extent of the creek. Input coordinates, linear extent (14160.0 m), and measurement error (5 m) into the MaNIS Georeferncing Calculator to find the uncertainty radius.)
Coordinate Uncertainty(m): 14166.6
Geodetic Datum: WGS84
