Description:

Corollas red-violet with a white tube, pink, or nearly white with pink lobes; staminode white; anthers white, the adaxial side violet, pink or tan with age; nectar sweetly fragrant. Phenology of specimen: Flower, Fruit.
Habitat:

On granitic talus slope in burned conifer forest. Abundant. Gray soil, pH ca. 6.5.
