Guyana. Barima-Waini. Mg waste flats S of railyard, Matthews Ridge to ridge of "Blue Mountain". Alt. 91 - 396 m. (299 - 1299 ft.)

Description:

Tree. Tree to 8 m, trunks to 0.3 m DBH, bark grey and white, smooth; leaves to 0.7 m, orange tan below; flower with anthers purple. Young fruit purple pink, 1.3 cm, 0.8 cm dia.

Habitat:

In overgrown fields on ridge. Mixed forest, regrowth vegetation on old road and farm. Locally abundant.
